Although teenage girls everywhere were hoping that the rumors were true, it looks like the plans for a Justin Bieber-themed boutique have not fallen through, and the teen pop sensation will not be opening his own store.
The original rumors were leaked to the media earlier this year, and included a report that the singer would be opening a superstore at The Grove, a massive shopping center in Los Angeles.
However, one of Bieber’s representatives recently confirmed that the plans for the boutique have been put on hold and nothing will be coming of those rumors any time soon.
The representative said that there were indeed talks about opening a store for the teen star, however the plans never made it past the ideas stage. Bieber’s publicist, Jennifer Gordon, recently talked to the Lost Angeles Times about the rumors, saying, “I was working with them last year with the possibility of this happening. Toward the end of November, everything had fallen through. It’s not happening.”
However, that doesn’t mean that the Bieber brand is one that’s not selling—the teen star has already released his own book, fragrance, and nail polish.
