Zac Efron > Vanessa Hudgens:Vanessa Hudgens Beastly Movie Pushed Back

Vanessa Hudgens

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have been dating for quite some time, but it now appears that the two have been in some sort of competition. Hollywood has apparently decided that Efron’s career and talents are more viable than those of his girlfriend, Hudgens. A few months ago, the remake of “Beauty and the Beast,” was slated for an end of July release date. Zac, who was working on his own movie at the time titled “Charlie St. Cloud,” was scheduled for a mid October premiere. Towards the end of April, the studio reportedly realized that the movie would be able to make a great deal more money while the kids were out of school and on summer vacation. Efron’s movie was bumped into the same day that Hudgen’s movie was originally supposed to premier.

Then, Hudgen’s film which was set to be released on the same day as her boyfriends movie suffered a major change. The “Beauty and the Beast” remake will no longer be released on the same day as her boyfriend but has been pushed for 2011. While the moving up of Efron’s flick isn’t exactly groundbreaking and does make a lot of sense for the movie, it is surprising that they have not planned to move his girlfriend’s film back. It seems awkward, considering that both of them have a lot of the same fans from their “High School Musical” days, and will likely be competing with each other at the box office this upcoming summer. Here is hoping that it doesn’t end up getting in the way of their relationship.

This really isn’t that big of a deal. I mean really moving a title that looks mediocre like zac efrobs Charlie st cloud is kinds foolish if you ase me seeing as how his movie isn’t that much of a “summer film” beastly on the other hand is more of a summer flick that would do well any time of the year. Just becuse it’s released in the summer doesn’t mean it will do well. It still has to have a summer movie feel to it. This is more or less a movie for the lifetime network.

are you sure that is zac

    7. elsie says:

well that sucks i would have preferred to watch beastly anyways damn i read the book and waited and now this and it doesn’t matter what time of the year it is if its a good movie it’ll do just fine just like twilight, harry potter, the hangover, the last song, transformers and so on they didn’t exactly have the “perfect” date and yet millions rolled in and also it doesn’t matter if you change the dates same day or not the movie makes what the movie makes, that’s showbiz…

    8. noni sheehan says:

I think the change of the date in releasing the date of both pictues make sence, as long as both parties do agree. It benefits both of them. I am sure Vanessa don’t mind. What is good for zac benefits her too.

you can’t expect them to be “always together” in a movie or project. they may be a couple in real life, but not necessarily in films. they’ve outgrown that idea post high school musical, people should know that. besides, i’ve seen the preview of beastly and it’s a good movie. you can’t compare the career of zac and vanessa, cause they do different movies, in different genres.
