Today, the rumors about Justin Bieber have reached an all-time low. One of the hottest searches on Google is the phrase: “Justin Bieber impregnated his mother”. Though it is obviously not true, it is surprising that the phrase made it so high on Google.
This is a new style of prank that has become one of the quickest ways to start rumors online. By programming bots, or convincing people to type the phrase into Google, you can make it one of the hottest search terms for the day on the search engine. Then, websites will write stories about the phrase in an attempt to have their website show up in Google for the term. Many of these pranks are pulled by the popular image board 4Chan. The same website has been responsible for a number of Bieber-related pranks over the course of the last year.
Earlier this summer, one rumor stated that Bieber’s mother was considering posing for Playboy magazine. These rumors were quickly denied by representatives for Bieber, as well as Bieber himself on his Twitter page.
With so many rumors about Bieber popping up online, it can be hard to figure out what is fact and what is fiction. He routinely shoots the most damaging rumors down on his Twitter page, but it would be unlikely that he would even make a statement regarding the rumor that he impregnated his mother.
